For a slightly more environmental friendly way to get rid of earwigs, mix 1 Tbsp of Murphy's Oil Soap with a couple Tbsp of a fertilizer like Miracle Grow or Peter's Professional into a couple gallons of water and spray the plants with the mixture. It's cleared several not so welcome bugs (Mexican bean beetles & asparagus beetles) out of my garden when commercial insecticides didn't work.

I realize this is seven years old, but anyone referencing this question should look for a more organic solution. Hens will help eat the earwigs and if you can't have your own put out a bird feeder and they will deal with the earwigs as they feast.

I hope that you are not offended by chemicals. Triazicide should work. Read all the directions before buying to be sure this is what works in your yard.
