But now that I got your attention,

Name 4 players you would like to have in a shootout, 3 skaters and a goalie. (even if your not a fan of the shootout)

Must be current players though.

For extra credit list the 4 players you would like to have the shootout against.

Answers with reasons why are good too.

as for ur question:

1st shooter: Daniel Briere
2nd shooter: Zach Parise
3rd shooter: Pavel Datsyuk

Goalie: Either : Martin Brodeur OR Kari Lehtonen

Against:

Goerges Parros
Boogaard
Brashear ( He'll Just Slip and fall before he gets to the net!!!)

Goalie: Scott Clemmenson!!!! ( he was way out of his net when satan and kozlov were shooting last game of season!!!)

Erik Christensen, Jussi Jokinen, Mikko Koivu, Kari Lehtonen. (AHAHA, they could be called the Finnish Four! Which is politically incorrect, but some greater things with nicknames were too.) Seriously though, have you noticed how much butt the Finns kick in the shootout?

I'd go against Jaromir Jagr, Sidney Crosby, Marty St. Louis, and Marty Brodeur. HA.

Jaromir Jagr has some kind of complex about looking "like a fool" (direct quote from interview) in the shootout. Lol.

And Crosby... He's not the safest bet. Many times I cried last season before he got in his groove. He didn't score regularly after that even, because sometimes those flashly moves are too much and they give the goalie time enough to predict where the puck will be shot.

I've said it before, St. Louis cracks me up with his little back-turned move! (Which I think only worked once...)

It'd be awesome to beat Brodeur. If he did Brodeur all over us, at least it'd be a good show. I think the shootouts are exciting and I love them in the regular season.

My eyes lit up with joy when I read your question. But then my hopes and dreams were smashed to pieces. Remind me to thank you later bro. ANYHOW, to the question at hand.


1)Alexander Ovechkin-he didn't have a great shootout record this last year but that's just because he kept using the same moves over and over and the goalies were ready for him. He has a wicked shot and with a little variety, he is a goalie's worst nightmare.

2)Jarome Iginla-he has got some nice moves and is as quick as any other player out there.

3)Olli Jokinen-not a big fan of his but this boy has skill. I saw him in a couple shootouts this last year and he did well.

4)Lundqvist-guy up above said it before...shootout records don't lie


Now for players that I would like to go up against...

1) Jonathan Cheechoo-I hate this guy and I would just want to see him fail miserably.

2)Sidney Crosby-just so when he doesn't score he can go cry some more...

3)Alexei Yashin-most overrated player of all time(or at least in his head he is)

4) Rick DiPietro-for some reason he rubs me the wrong way so I would like to see him lose in a shootout.

1. Joe Sakic - He amazes me everytime he goes 1 on 1 against a goaltender with that calm confidence in which he knows the puck is going in.

2. Marian Hossa - The guy has uncanny accuracy when it comes to pinpoint shot location against a goalie.

3. Jaromir Jagr - He has such soft hands and ridiculous control of the puck that he can go east - west on a goalie with relative ease......and thats just the set up for his shot!

4. Marty Turco - I hate him as a Shark's fan, but definitely respect him for his skills which land him as the goalie i'd want in this shootout.

Who i'd want the shootout against? Well if i'd want to win then how about Scott Gomez, Bobby Holik, and ummm....Radim Vrbata!!! Oh and they'll have Marc Denis in net! =)


As for your Bettman comment, yea, it definitely got my attention and got me to answer your question lol!

Datsyuk, Havlat and Hemsky for their dangling skills and Lundqvist in goal because of his shootout record.

Worst 4 seems like an odd question. How about Hatcher, Strudwick and the guy with the most fighting majors or the most healthy scratches along with Mike Dunham in goal?

i was like 'yes! finally!' and jumping up and down when i read ur question. then i read the first line and i was like' awww' lol.

the ppl i would have in my shootout lineup are
1. Alexander Ovechkin- He is amazing at them
2. Martain Havlat- great player, bad team
3. Martain St. Louis- do i need an explaination?
goalie- Marty Turco- very underrated, sort of

as for the second part i would have some border line players shoot against me. why would i want anyone good?

I know who i wouldn't take in the shootout, the whole flyers team. Then again i guess that would answer your question about the "against" If i had to pick a shootout team against the flyers, it would be anybody. The flyers suck in shootouts.
