Situations involving rape and incest make up less than 1% of abortions. It is a scenario that rarely plays out in real life. True it would be a horrible decision to have to make but when it comes to arguing the legalities of abortion, lets stick with real life.

Well with rape that is the one time where I do not totally condemn abortion. But when you just got drunk at some party and got pregnant, well, that is totally different.

If she was my daughter she would have the child. Just because the way the child was conceived is a henious crime doens't mean you need to add another, worse, crime but killing it. All you supporters say it's not really alive and all that crap but that's such bs. It may not be alive yet but it will be a person, just like you, someday. Have the kid and give it up for adoption if you don't want one. W will invade that mofos town and lay the smack down^^

Great question.

The hypocrisy of the anti-choice minority in America would be on full display.

No. The daughers are adults and will make their own choices. US law does not allow the father to tell them what to do.

Bush's daughters are over the age of 21 and capable of making this decision for themselves.

Neither parent has any authority over the offspring in the situation you described.

Incidentially, It is also said that Laura Bush is pro choice.

This is such a horrendous situation and circumstance, let's not project it on anyone even in a hypothetical question.

Asking a hypothetical quesiton of such a lightening rod issue that no one can ever truly know the answer to is intellectually lazy and does not truly add to authentic inquiry and debate.

We can do better than this, can't we?

She'd end up in a high-end Mexican health clinic for "recuperative reasons" and the issue of a pregnancy would never surface to begin with.

Bush supports abortion in instances of rape as do most Republicans. I think the polls consistently show around 7 percent of the population supports no abortions period.

Come on, do you really think that an abortion erases the tragedy of rape? Have you ever thought that maybe it compounds it? Geezz!!!
