Some time ago when i was in psychiatric care I learned to create a mind garden to which I retreat if feeling bad. I now have well over 2 acres of various flora to tend with associated fauna. My favorites include the Tropical with Scarlet Macaws and small scrub with finches and wrens. If I am really down I look for the grey parrot with an apparently inexhaustible fund of bad language. Half an hour with this bird (my dark side) and I am ready to face the bright spring days of my life.

I think it was hiker, that gave the best answer in my opinion of what we should do... But realistically that is not always possible... Because we have already extended ourselves to the point of our sense of feeling blue, from exhaustion, both emotionally and physically...
When this happens, I end up crying it out, releasing it, and then a bubble bath to take the edge off, hop into fresh sheets and sleep to replenish what my body was needing in the first place... â¥

I am currently taking some antidepressants which have helped so much! I feel like me again!
If it is not serious or long lasting, I read a funny book, watch a funny movie, exercise.......walk the dog, take the kids to the park, stay busy to take my mind off things, positive thinking always works and be social.

I listen to music, go for a walk, or some times I just sulk; and that is not good for you; you know, that old poor me baby thing. Pull up your boot strings and get on with life. That is what I have to tell myself.

Drink and listen to you my favorite sad songs.
I really give into this emotion and get it out of my system. If I try to ignore it I just stay down in the dumps longer.

I go to my favorite shopping center, if I have money I buy something, if not I go to Tom Fooleries and get a happy hour margarita and sit outside and people watch.
