What ever makes him happy. They weren't kidding around when they asked if you would support him through good and bad were they?

I have a friend who used to be a chef who drives truck today. He's much happier behind a steering wheel than he was being a stove.

I'm a licenced mechanic in three trades and am an ex Army Ranger. I bartend today just because I enjoy it. Is that a waste? I don't think so. Neither does my lady. She's stood by me through it all. As you should to.

Nope, I'll bet he's happier doing landscaping than when he was a chef. Plus he can play in the dirt and not have to worry about washing his hands before going back to work.

Why is that a waste? Does he like landscaping better? If so, I don't see the problem.

I can tell you are exasperated, but I hope you aren't voicing this to him in such terms. Men are really touchy about how they "bring home the bacon" and need a lot of "atta boy's." If he's happy, then you'll be happier.

No it's not a total waste. At least he still has a job and if he's happier, then that's all that really matters.

No, if he is happy then does it matter what he is doing??
Seems that you are more worried than he is?

Dont be so hardline - put yourself in his shoes - would you stay in a job to keep him happy when you could be working someone you like?

Life is too short to be unhappy...get on with it and be happy for him.

NO, as long as he still likes to cook dinner...he has a decent job, my cousin does it and rakes in the cash, plus you get to be physical and outside...
