The shining The fog The thing American werewolf in London Vampire circus (indeed anything that either Hammer or Amicus did during the 70s) The wicker-man Abominable Dr Phibes Dark water (this is a South korean film so if you don't like subtitles it wont be your thing) Alien The exorcist The first three, plus alien, are the scariest films I've seen. The acting is great, directing (Kubrick did the shining and carpenter the fog/thing) likewise.Atmospheric music keeping you constantly on the edge of your seat. These movies are ground breaking in terms of camera and special effects. They're the whole package!.American werewolf in London is a really clever movie, kind of tongue in cheek ,it pokes fun at the horror genre.Very gory!.Vampire circus is visually stunning, dreamlike almost, but if your not into the whole hammer thing then it wouldn't be for you, same goes for the wicker-man.The Abominable Dr Phibes is outrageously funny, very gory and more than a little camp. The methods of killing getting more and more inventive. Vincent Price is excellent as Phibes.Darkwater is an excruciatingly haunting chiller/horror.The atmosphere it evokes is similar to sixth sense and then some.It ratchets up the suspense level to the point of becoming unbearable, with a final twist at the end .Hope this has been of some use to you.

...Hurumph!!! I just cannot believe that everyone forgot the inclusion of the classic Iron Butterfly acid rock hit, "In-a-Gadda-da-Vida" (they're were actually trying to sing "In the Garden of Eden"), in the film, "Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare"!!!
...remember the druggie, video-game-obsessed kid pulled into the T.V.??? The Johnny Depp public service announcement...with the frying pan upside his head??? The 'power glove' gag???
.....Tsk! Tsk! Tsk! Shame on you, folks!!!

Slayer did a cover of that song for a film called "Less Than Zero". Don't know if that's what you mean, though.
