You have 100 yards / 11 seconds.
Multiply in the conversions to change yards to miles, and seconds to hours:
(100 yd / 11 sec) * (1 mile / 1760 yd) * (3600 sec / 1 hr) =
(100 * 1 * 3600) (yd * mi * sec) / ((11 * 1760 * 1) (sec * yd * hr)) =
18.595 miles/hour
You cancel units out of the numerator and denominator just like you cancel other values. sec*yd cancels out, leaving only miles in the numerator and hours in the denominator.

first you need to straighten out your units. Find out how many yards are in a mile. Then how many seconds are in a hour. The equation is RT=D or rate times time equals distance. You're solving for the rate because you have the time and the distance.

The old favorite
distance = velocity * time. You have distance, you have time, you compute velocity. However, you are in yards/second, and have to convert to miles per hour. So you do dual conversions:
1 mile/1760 yards * 3600 seconds/hour =
2.02 mph per yard/sec

the guy that said 18.6 is correct, but you should really run more than 100 yards to find your true speed, try running the 440 or a whole mile

First you need conversions
3600 seconds/ hour
1,760 yards/mile = 0.000568
100 yards divided by 1760 yards/ mile = 0.0568 miles
11 seconds divided by 3600 seconds/hour gives your time in hours = 0.003055 hours
Your speed 0.0568 miles / 0.0355 hours = 16 miles/hour

From own journey this is stable. I ran a 14 whilst i grew to become into 12 and because then I surely have performed soccer for my severe college and went with the aid of an entire season of indoor track. permit me inform you presently i can hit severe 11s and that i atribute all of it to stressful artwork. you're turning out to be a 13 2nd one hundred meter magnificent now yet once you do no longer run and artwork at it thats is as stable as you will get. So get entangled in track in case you haven't any longer already and artwork stressful and that factor will drop much greater. so a strategies as how briskly a woman could desire to run her one hundred meter I dont think of there's a time a woman could desire to run. it is going to be distinctive for each man or woman and each sort of runner. yet whilst to illustrate you had to be a sprinter you may decide to run in quite a great determination low sixteen - low 17. in case you may run it speedier than that great yet that factor is sufficient for a coach to artwork with sufficient so as that by utilising the time senior 300 and sixty 5 days hits in highschool you'll be a aggressive sprinter. while you're middle distance or long distance runner #a million you in all likelihood won't run a one hundred meter yet once you probably did do no longer assume to be as quickly as a sprinter. yet there exceptions to that like one baby on my group. He runs 600 meter races and up yet he can run as quickly as quite some the sprinters on our group. in case you go with to run speedier connect your colleges track group and see the way it is going. stable success!!!
