If they are called a dynasty, then they are still fourth best behind Celtics, Lakers, and Bulls. If they are denied the label of dynasty then they are still fourth best behind those teams. It doesn't matter what they are called. Spurs' core is still good enough to win it again. So if they do it again next year then everyone will give them that label.

I know no one cares about the Spurs, that's why the beginning of my questions says "Spurs fans"

So many people have their own definition of "dynasty" as it relates to sports.

When someone states "The Spurs are not a dynasty" the part we should read into that statement is "According to me, the Spurs are not a dynasty".

As for me, it doesn't matter if anyone calls them a dynasty. The SA Spurs are a great, winning organization from the top down.

Dynasty schnasty

I think all of us Spurs fans could care less what the team is called.

The Spurs organization doesn't care if they are called a dynasty or not. Never mind, that Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili, Tony Parker, and Bruce Bowen have won three titles together. In modern day basketball you won't find any championship team that is exactly the same. According, to the definitions posted tonight, if Robert Horry and Jaque Vaughn decided to retire and the Spurs won again they wouldn't be a dynasty because the players are different.

To me a dynasty is a team that wins multiple championships with the same core players, which the Spurs have done.

They will be behind the Lakers and Celtics for a long time, but the Bulls are in their sights. They will compete again next year for the title and hopefully they will win it again. The Spurs and their fans don't need the respect of the whiners of the league.

Spurs fans don't care about the dynasty tag. Perhaps you are watching to much espn or something.
It doesn't matter if they are 4th best does that make them any less of a dynasty?

For those of you who say they suck, well you team didn't win so what does that say about your team?

For those of you who say they have a weak fan base, do you know how big Texas is and how many people live there? Almost 21 million people, now not all of them are spurs fans I know, but if even half are that's 10+ million fans. Argentina has almost 40 million people. Manu Ginobili is an icon down there, so lets say half are spurs fans, that's 20 million more.

That's 30 million fans right there. That's not a weak fan base in my opinion.

i'm a genuine Spurs fan, yet i easily do not inevitably think of the Spurs are a dynasty yet. i think of they might desire to win decrease back-to-decrease back. even with the undeniable fact that, they do carry the best Finals checklist interior the Finals considering 1999. final 9 NBA Finals: Spurs 4 – 0 Lakers 3 – a million Detroit a million – a million Miami a million – 0 Cavs 0 – a million Mavs 0 – a million 76ers 0 – a million Pacers 0 – a million Knicks 0 – a million Nets 0 – 2 The Spurs are the only group to win it every time they bypass to the FINALS (4 – 0); purely the Lakers have long previous as many cases, yet lose it as quickly as in 4 (3 – a million). the different element that stands proud is that the only different Western convention group bypass there are the Dallas Mavs, who misplaced it of their purely visual appeal.

Okay...I think we just want this dynasty thing soooo bad. Because there's all of you haters out there, you say the Spurs suck, they play dirty, etc. We're trying to prove to everyone that we don't suck.... We call it a dynasty in Texas, so if we do here, it is. But even if it's not a dynasty, it's still 4 championships in 9 years, and it's gonna be 5 in 10.

If its any consolation, I'm from the Philippines & I know for a fact that the Spurs have a large following here.

We can't argue that we're behind the great Celtics, Lakers & Bulls franchises but all those other WHINING fans of teams such as Suns, Mavs, Cavs can't argue the facts either that their teams are way, way, way, way behind the Spurs.

What have they accomplished collectively? Some forgettable finals appearances and a bunch of "What Ifs"?

Whether all you haters admit it or not, you would trade places with the Spurs Nation in a heartbeat.

Its not really a dynasty yet, compared to LA/BOS/CHI. 4 in 9 years in a row is amazing, but they have yet to repeat. If they win in 2008, it will be a completely differenty story. I mean when the Kobe/Shaq-era Lakers won 3 in a row, they werent considered a dynasty.. and they only won 1 less title in 6 less years.

The Spurs are a great team and have been for many years, but they just dont compare to the great dynasty standards.. yet.

It doesn't matter to me. I don't care what others think about the Spurs. Our fan base is here in South Texas which is fine. People can decide whatever they want, As long as those trophies are sitting in the ATT center.

I'm tired of arguing about this. After the '08 finals, there will be no more questions about the Spurs dynasty. It will be indisputable.
