I lost both of my parents and my brother when I was 15. (They all died within 8 months of one another.) After that, I got married and had four children. When my youngest was 16, I went to college. Three years later, (June 9, 2007) I graduated from college.....with my daughter! That is what I am the proudest of! I didn't let the death of my family members become a reason to not do anything with my life. I could have spent my entire life feeling as though the world "owed" me something, instead, I raised my children with love and compassion and, once all of them were basically self-sufficient, I took the challenge and earned my degree. It took me a lot of years to get where I am today. I was scared to death to begin college with people much younger than myself, and I thought about going many many times before I actually did, but I (finally) DID IT! I AM proud of myself, but not in a "conceited" way....just in the fact that I "accomplished" something!!
You are right....shoot for the moon....even in failure, the stars are BEAUTIFUL!!!

Once this 7/8 year old girl was on playground equipment - the kind with the bars on the side and she was standing there and fell and was hanging her arms were up and her body was hanging down and she was too short too reach the ground and was crying so I ran over and grabbed her legs and held her up so she wouldn't hurt anymore and my friends unstuck her arms...I felt so nice after that =)
