And you're not crazy, i hate the mall rush during the christmas season, you're actually very smart for doing this
have a nice day
and Merry Christmas!...haha

I think your co-workers are more crazy to not realize you're a little better off than they are. They'll probably wait until November or December, having only a few weeks to shop and using up more of their funds in a short period due to how much they'll be spending on presents.
However, don't start sitting back and relaxing as far as Christmas goes. After all, keep in mind that some of the things you picked up for folks they may pick up between now and then. That's the one big risk, but it's also easier for you to deal with now than it will be a few months down the line. At that time folks still run the risk of the people their shopping for buying what they get for them, but they also face the added risk of something to replace it being out of stock because so many were bought as Christmas presents. Thus if they learn what they got someone as a present that person picked up, they may not be able to take it back and find a decent replacement. You've still got plenty of time to do that in if you wish.

I'm not trying to be the annoying nor am I referring to you but the main purpose is remember why we get and receive gifts - it should NOT be a chore - rather Christmas (minus the religious portions) is really about cherishing another year with people we like, love or are just our relatives :-)
A gift should be something that reflect them or our relationship to them (of course, there are obligatory gifts to coworkers/postal carrier, etc ... that don't really count here) and that we've put some thought into something they would apprecreciate, like or hopefully love. If you accomplish that, it doesn't matter what time of the year you complete & wrap up your holiday shopping.
But if all you're doing is because you see it as a chore, then also, when you complete it hardly matters.
So, there are plenty of reasons for doing it way before or during for both practical and/or fun reasons.
But don't buy out of desperation at any time of the year (I've worked in retail where people just held something up and shouted, this is $10 bucks and heavy ... you are better off buying them a $10 gift card).
It can be a cost savings to see something in May someone would love but also, it might be on a clearance sale in December so you never know.
So, it's not when you go shopping, it's your intentions.

i think of what your asserting is honest, I mean not all persons have funds to throw around.especially if 2-3 birthdays fall interior an identical month.yet why not have an workplace pool.the place in all and sundry chips is a definite quantity of funds each and each month & cake for the co-workers birthday could nicely be offered with that funds. yet once you dont prefer to chip in for that, you could immediately away tell the persons who organise such activities at workplace ( am particular there such human beings even in ur workplace)which you're on a string funds & cant make a contribution to the birthday fund. merely undergo in concepts what is going around, comes around, you may experience undesirable, in the adventure that your co-workers dont do something particular on your birthday.

as you co-workers think you are crazy. it is june! i rather be later with my christmas shopping but then I would be sure I bought things I know the people are wanting to have. and if you buy that early, you can't bring you presents back.
i am also looking foward to christmas though, only buying my presents so early, well i am not in to that.

I'm amazed, how do you know what people will want when they probably don't know themselves yet. It is probably a smart thing to do but it would be too hard for me. I would have to have at least a few gifts to shop for during the season because I think it's part of the fun.

I think it depends on who you're getting gifts for. Who knows, by the time Christmas comes, your friends might not have the same needs or tastes in gifts that they once did, but that's usually only if you're dealing with smaller children. As far as being organized goes, that's great.

I think that's great. So many people say every year that they are going to start earlier and never do.I try to finish as soon as possible. It helps you stay in good spirits around the holidays and not get caught up in all the craziness.
