Like the Macs hamburger sign, 400 trillion served, when do the numbers become meaningless to zero value? So there are some of us with tremendous amounts of time on our hands, when does quantity indicate quality. I think I am getting a new peeve, here's an answer, dump the number and just post the name.

This is a good hit miss ratio, but how is it the result that merits top contributor.

You would think that if quantity indicated any sort of quality it would certainly be of the lesser kind. It certainly rings true when it comes to the restaurant business and also today's music charts.

A top contributor badge on yahoo answers is something that is decided by how many best answers you receive in certain category and is given to you by your peers. It means your peers think you are a top contributor, and that is plenty enough for me.

Heh, reminds me of an old Seinfeld bit.

It's so misleading because a trillion burgers were sold because of a good system and effective brand, not a stellar product. Walmart also falls into this category. I'm not sure when quantity indicates quality. Maybe when the product itself relies on quality -- such as cars, Lasik eye surgeries, or heart transplants.
