I remember 29 cents a gallon, but I made 71 cents an hour and the "minimum wage" was $1. an hour. Do you want to go back to the good old days of 29 cent gas?

In 1973, I was 19 years old. I remember getting gas at an independent gas station in Alabama for 26 cents a gallon.

It happened at the beginning of Bush's presidency, after the Democratic Congress demanded hearings into price gouging by oil companies.
That's the only time that gas prices ever go down, when Congress threatens hearings.
