I am not against the values of anthropology as it honourable to look at the effects of racism, poverty, colonialism or other issues. But I haven't heard a thing about Native land claims, KAYU's demonstration in South Africa and the legacy of apartheid, (had to go on the BBC for more info), the situation affecting illegal Hispanic immigrants, etc. Only read about how all Western culture was bad and how I needed to be more politically correct. I don't care if this is someone's view but why is it a learning process? What am I supposed to learn? How not to think? The least offensive way to think? Is that learning?

What a great observation!! Although I think there is still some actual study of the history of man we do tend to focus on political correctness and how to blame the majority for the problems of the minority
