Nothing, because Iraqi's aren't bad people. What would your parents do if you brought home Timothy McVeigh (of course from the grave).

It's not a race that is evil it is a fraction of that race. There are bad Americans too. Your parents are bigots if they judge a person they don't even know.

Well, I ask him his religion and you hope him to have the same religion as yours. Cross-religion weeding means big problems for anyone, so i hope you do not try to marry him.

And you will be happy we're not Americans. I read in the news that the status quo in US not only for the government but for most Americans' everyday life is to be paranoid 'cause of terrorism. Even if you family are wise enough to not judge him (like the "vice of judgment" who Albert Camus talk about) , most people in your neighborhood surely looks him (and you) bad.

If you really want to live a happy live with your iraqi boyfriend , take a trip to live here in Peru, so you enjoy our incredibly good food and none of the paranoid people in US.

Kill my self because I failed as a parent. You are suposed to find some one like you, with your same background. Culturally you are too different and at the very least you will have a strained relationship. You come from different places and believe in different things. I don't care what age you are, you have some growing up to do.

I would understand that you had the right to make your own life decisions the same way I did. I don't have to agree, or like what you choose. I just have to give you the "God-given" right to do so.

I would trust your judgment, and then would form an opinion about him not because of his nationality, but how well he treats you and makes you happy. Then I would hope to get to know him as an individual.
