Guidelines definitely. Because the main purpose of guidelines is to serve as indications, while rules have consequences. Guidelines are meant to project an image of an ideal and offer you suggestions regarding certain standards, so they're nature isn't supposed to be imposing. Rules impose themselves through their nature. I would personally prefer a life style that offers me indications on the path of achieving an ideal from the sidelines without the interference of rules.

Guidelines. Rules, in my opinion, are there to be bent. Not broken - I believe that rules are good! But I always tend to bend the rules to fit what I want to do that particular day :)

Guidelines. More wiggle room involved that rules. Although, sometimes those suck too. lol. As in, "Just don't do anything I wouldn't approve of". I would much prefer like.... "Don't do drugs". That way, I can do lots of other stuff, and just not drugs. lol. I'm a good girl though, so no drugs for me either way. haha

A set of guidelines. I use common sense and can be trusted without having rules to constrain me!

Guidelines seem like there is room to improvise and get the job done without having to conform. Rules make me want to scream.

and someone can show me where I broke a rule(And trust Me I will) "Understanding" that's what I like!

I prefer guidelines b/c they nurture the creativity. Although, creative people will not follow the rules, anyway!

GUIDELINES ARE USED AGAINST YOU WHEN YOU DON'T WANT TO USE THE RULES, OR THERE ISN'T A PRECIDENT SET. GUIDELINES ARE WHAT SETS PARAMETER, BOUNDRIES, LATER TO BE DEEMED A RULE. IT GIVES SOME FLEXIBILITY, TO ERROR IS HUMAN, AND DEPENDING ON WHO YOU ARE, RULES CAN EASILY BE CALLED GUIDELINES.

guidelines, because sometimes unforseen events or happenings occur and you can work around them or with them. If you have a strict set of rules that don't bend it can be a little hard sometimes.

Guidelines because they tend to be fewer than rules and therefore easier to remember.
