The cop said he clocked me with his LIDAR going 87mph which is total BS. I know better than to go damn near 90mph especially when there's some traffic in front of me.

I wasn't going any faster than the car in front of me. In fact, there were cars passing ME!

So the pr!ck decides to give me a ticket....BS

Also, I saw the cop from a distance putting up his gear and getting into his car. Theres no way he even had his LIDAR on me if he was putting it into his car as I approached him.

This crap just doesn't add up. Did the cop LIE about my speed simply to give me a ticket?

Posted speed limit was 65.

I had my cruise control set between 70 - 75 to stay in the flow of traffic.

He could have, if I am not mistaken they have to meet a certain quota per day, which I think is just retarded. That just encourages them to give bogus tickets. I don't know where you lives so I dont know whether they have to meet the same quota that they do here. But I think that you can dispute it when you go to court. I am not sure if they have to have some sort of proof that you were indeed speeding, but probably not. More than likely they will take the cops word for it. Although they are starting to put cameras in the police cars because of violence police have commited and vice versa. But you can try to dispute it when you go to court. What was the speed limit?

Hate to trust Trooper, yet he's top. on your guy or woman, you do not stand of challenge with those. in case you have the money, you could continually hire specialists for a sworn assertion, perhaps which will help. i'm going to allow you be attentive to what has a extra advantageous danger of working, and is appreciably extra inexpensive. Plead not responsible. Wait till your listening to rolls around, and report a action for continuance. Then do it back. Then one extra time. At this element, it could be nicely over a 300 and sixty 5 days because of the fact the value tag became issued. From here you have 2 selections - set up a pretrial listening to with the prosecutor, and take a inspect to settle it there with a discounted super OR take your opportunities, pass to court docket and desire that regardless of each and every thing this time exceeded, the officer that pulled you over would not teach. all the final. EDIT: Trooper is right whilst he says that previous archives could influence sentencing. he's not completely top whilst he says that rushing is strict criminal accountability - whilst it is primary, that is not perfect in each and every case.

It is possible. I got a ticket about 6 months ago. he said that I was going 11 mi's over the limit. Now get this I was in a school zone and I ALWAYS watch my speed in a school zone. There was no way I was going 11 mi's over the limit. As to answer your question. No, it would just be a waste of time to try to beat it. your word against his and you already know who the judge is going to believe. Might as well chock this one up.

Well, unless you have proof of your speed (such as a camera that's facing your dashboard, or a computer that logs your speed), then in traffic court, I'm sorry to say, but your defense isn't very strong.

Unless you can gather a group of other disgruntled people who also felt that way about that particular officer (and this group has to be at least 8 people), then he's in the right. (Even if it doesn't feel that way)

I got out of a ticket once by asking the office to show the last time his radar gun had been calibrated. My dad used to work with a lot of police officers (this is in Ohio, it may be different where you are) and they are to calibrate their radar guns every so often and if they fail to do so, you can get out of your ticket. The cop said he clocked me going 76 in a 45. I was lucky enough to get out of it and not get a worse fine for seeming mouthy. :)

lidars only range is LOS. if you can see him, he can see you, and so can it. best guess, go to public records and have them bring up all of his qualifications. there are ALLOT of them and with luck, one has fallen lax and you can get off that way.

you should have asked to see the gun, i got out of a ticket that way. cuz they couldnt prove i was doing that, and they only pulled me over for going "6mph" over. i guess just go to court and explain to the judge.

Was it my ex that pulled you over, he was known for lying about everything. Make sure you explain it to the judge that you saw him setting up his stuff. Good Luck.
