YES - There a wild animal about the same size as a American Black bear. There not cuddly, ones born in captivity are more docile then wild but they are all dangerious and must be handled with care.

Don't let the looks fool you yes pandas are cute. But they are members of the bear family. When threatened or challenged they will aggressively defend themselves their domain and cubs. The males average weight is between 80 and 250 pounds And they stand 3 to 4 feet at the shoulder. Averaging 6 feet in length. They are excellent climbers and have very power full front paws. Cute and cuddly in appearance. They should be considered as dangerous as any bear in north America.

YES, Like a cute raccoon, with it's human habit of washing its food and it's acrobats. DO not get close, A cute raccoon is a wild and toothed and clawed animal, Just as the Panda (not) Bear is a wild and toothed animal.

I saw a story on a tv show called 'Have I Got News For You' about a drunk chinese guy who climbed into the panda enclosure at some zoo and tried to hug the panda and got bitten. so yeah they respond to provocation anyway. in the wild theyre supposed to be quite shy

Yeah they have been know to maul to death their keepers. But they are awesome animals. Just remember they are a wild animal and must be respected.
