It is apparent that the polititions of this country like to huff, puff and get re-elected. The serving President of the United States is guilty (self-profesed) of High Crimes and Misdemeanors.
How does the American public start impeachment proceedings? There must be a way... The founding fathers where patriots who would NEVER tolerate this abuse.
I know most Americans want to wait until 2008 and elect another lying (future) criminal. Let's impeach this one and tell the others to watch their P's and Q's.
The future of America (our children) is at stake.

First of all, the Founding Fathers didn't actually trust the people all that much. That's one reason why Senators were not directly elected by the people originally and why we have the Electoral College.

There is no way for people to directly start impeachment proceeding other than lobbying their representatives to do so.

The only way to remove a president for cause is described in the Constitution is as follows

From Article 1 Section 2

The House of Representatives shall chuse their Speaker and other Officers; and shall have the sole Power of Impeachment.

From Article 1 Section 3

The Senate shall have the sole Power to try all Impeachments. When sitting for that Purpose, they shall be on Oath or Affirmation. When the President of the United States is tried, the Chief Justice shall preside: And no Person shall be convicted without the Concurrence of two thirds of the Members present.

Judgment in Cases of Impeachment shall not extend further than to removal from Office, and disqualification to hold and enjoy any Office of honor, Trust or Profit under the United States: but the Party convicted shall nevertheless be liable and subject to Indictment, Trial, Judgment and Punishment, according to Law.

The 25th Amendment also talks about Presidential succession and removing the President from office, but this widely viewed to apply on in cases of death or disability.

Bush has NOT committed any crimes, high or otherwise. There is nothing in the Constitution allowing a recall of the President. The only legal process is impeachment by simple majority in the House followed by conviction by 2/3 of the Senate. It won't happen.

No need for another amendment it is already covered in the Constitution and if had a clue to what the Constitution really you would not posted anything this ignorant. If this concerns you all you have to do is convince Obama to produce his birth certificate. BUT since one does not exist they will have to rely of people like you.

Only impeachment, and where did the current president confess to High Crimes and Misdemeanors? What President Bush did is to defend the US to the best of his ability unlike the preivous president. Only congress can start impeachment proceedings and they have no evidence to prove wrongdoing and conspiricy theories are not admissible.

Don't we just have to send him to Mexico? That way, he'll never get back over that iron curtain that everyone wants built to separate it from the US.

We all know it would be impossible to get over that wall, right?

And, if our children's future is at stake--we can just abort all the "fetus's" and then that wouldn't be an issue.

The founding Fathers were all Patriots! None of them would have tolerated injustice. They would have to bear arms to fight! (Oh, wait, we need to take the guns away from them. No, strike that. Hillary and Barack are running on the "no guns in the hands of the people" ballot.)

Okay, but we can eliminate our children's future by aborting the fetus's still!

Congress is responsible for starting removal proceedings.

The house can impeach, after that, the Senate can vote for removal.

In order to impeach a president, he must have done something that deserves impeachment. So far, President Bush hasn't done anything, so he can't be impeached.

no. the president can not be recalled. he can only be impeached and removed from office by congress
