Everyone is different - some women are like clockwork where others are irregular. Other factors can impact how often you get your period as well. Being overweight or underweight can cause irregular periods. Stress can impact your cycle as well.

Being on the pill can help regulate your period if you're concerned about not being regular.

Everyone is different. Some do get it regularly as soon as they start. Some girls get it regularly for a few months, then skip a few, then start again. Some get it every 5-6 weeks instead of every month. If you're really concerned about your own, talk to your doctor (or your mom, if you're comfortable enough with her).

You are supposed to get your period every month, unless you are pregnant. If you are not getting periods every month, then your cycle is considered "irregular" and you need to see a doctor to talk about starting birth control pills to help keep your cycle regular.

Mine was not regular at all. I got it for two months, and then skipped like 3 or 4 months, then got it again. After the first year or so, they got regular.

You should -- once it starts, it should be regular, once every month or so. If it isn't, you may have a hormone imbalance.
