Haunted by Chuck Palahniuk. Its a novel about a group of writers who get trapped in an old theater with each other to write the perfect novel. It gets a little graphic I must warn you. Read this short part of it. If you can handle it then you will like the book. http://www.chuckpalahniuk.net/books/haunted/guts.php
Ok I just looked at your profile, and i don't think this book would be for you...sorry.

Tough, tough question.......
Old Man and The Sea - Ernest Hemingway (I own a first edition)
The Yearling - Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings (Another first edition)
To Kill A Mockingbird - Harper Lee (1st edition)
The Little Prince - Antoine de Saint-Exupery ( I so, so much would love a first edition of this one) For those of you who are not familiar with this book, it's about 1/2 inch thick and you can read it in about 2 hours. It looks and reads very much like a child's book but as an adult it is so full of metaphor and life lessons if you look for them. My first copy was given to me by the love of my life, my first wife who I married entirely too young and miss every day of my life. I try to read this book at least once a year, maybe two and always find a solution to any problems in life I may be having at that time. Every one of my dearest friends has been given this book by me and I hope they cherish it as I do. If you have not read it, I would highly recommend it.
