It amazes me how STUPID some woman are when it comes to there body..
No its not the hole you pee out of.. That is your uritha.
And its NOT the only hole down there.
There is a uritha, then your vagina, fallowed by your anus.
Your uritha carries urine from your bladder and releases it from your body.
Your vagina, inside it has your vaginal wall, which connects to your cervix.
I think everyone knows where there anus is. If you dont know what a anus is its where your stool or poop comes out.
You want to be incerting the tampon into your vagina. If you are not sure where your vaginal opening is, which is very normal, girls are told not to touch or look at themselves so when it comes to tampons most girls go threw this.
Wash your hands. Clean yourself with tissue and a moist towlette.
If you touch yourself. Toward the front where the labia splits, (the hood), go between the labia. There will be a small round bump, (your clitoris). As you go below that it will become just a tiny bit deeper. Right there is where your uretha drains. Where your pee comes out. If you continue further back you will feel some smooth moist skin. This is the opening of your vagina. Before sexual contact it will almost feel like there isnt even a opening there. Because the only thing ever needing to pass threw the vaginal opening is menstral flow. If you come to a taunt piece of skin, right before you get to the anus your fixing to go past it.
Now that you know where your vaginal opening in.
The best ways to incert a tampon is either sitting on a tolliet with your knee spread apart.
Standing with one foot on the tolliet seat.
Or Squating down.
If your flow is heavy enough to need a tampon it should slide in pretty easily. With the lubracation of the blood left inside your vagina.
When first begining using a tampon plastic applicator are usually easier to incert.
Also, if you are new to this, when you go to remove it. It might hurt a little and you think it is stuck. If so, RELAX, take a deep breath. Hold pressure on the cord of the tampon and cough. It will help the tampon to come out.
Good Luck.
Alway remember to be neat and clean. Moist towlettes are a must at this time of the month!

Calm down. I had a little trouble inserting a tampon when I first started my cycle, I'm guessing you're about 12 or 13? I'm gonna base my advice on that age group, well, as far as where it goes, you have a urethra (where pee comes out), then, past that is the vagina, and that is where the tampon goes, feel around with your finger and make sure that you're putting it in the right place, then, I suggest starting with Tampax Cardboard Slender tampons, and you just slide it into that area, where it will go in on the right angle and push it in lightly, then, pull the cardboard down a little (take it slow) and once you have it inside, stand up and make sure that you can't feel it, if you've properly inserted it, you shouldn't know it's there. I hope this helps, and you can get great advice from beinggirl.com on periods and stuff like that.
Good luck..

hmm well its pretty easy actually i got it in first time i tried without even reading instructions.
you might want to use the plastic applicator ones like tampax pearl or playtex gentle glide. they go in a lot easier than the cardboard kind. i discovered this only recently.
you only have 2 holes lol. so feel around for the first one..(i kno kinda weird but its a one time thing). (i really don't know how you could not find it really lol.. just get the one thats not ur butthole..) they usually indicate where you have to hold the tampon with lines or something. with the cardboard kind the cotton goes in first and plastic the rounded/thickest side goes in first. you push it in til when your fingers touch your body. (thats why you should know where to hold it.) then take the applicator off the tampon.
if you have a hard time try doing it sitting on the toilet and point the tampon straight at you (and not upwards to the hole) relax and have your legs apart. you shouldn't be able to feel it at all when you did it right.
it takes time to get the hang of it. you will soon trust me.
if you REALLY cant get it in.. try to stick to pads.
good luck hope i helped.

OK this answer may be a little bit gross but take some toilet paper and pat your bottom and see where the blood is on the paper that will give you some idea of where the hole is you need to insert the tampon.
You may need to lubricate the tampon to make it slide easier. Make sure you push it in far enough so you don't feel it every time you sit down. Leave some of the string out so you can get it out later.
One other thing when you get ready to change it out it will have expanded so it makes it a little bit harder to get out. I remember that freaked me out the first time but just give it a good tug and it will slide out good luck.

What size are you using? It may just be too big. If you've never used a tampon before, then it's best to use the smallest with the lightest absorbency. Stand and squat slightly or sit on the toilet, relax, and try inserting your finger first so you know where it goes. Use a small mirror if you have to. It's imperative that you relax. If your muscles are clenched you'll never get through it. Good luck.

I think Onyx answered this wonderfully. It is definitely NOT the hole you pee from and there is definitely more than one hole. I sencond everything she said, and I would also recommend using a mirror so you can see where everything is and be familiar with your body. I remember having the exact same problem at your age. I didn't know where the tampon went. I thought my clitoris was my hymen, lol. Find an illustration of the vulva on the internet and use a mirror to find your vaginal opening.

Haha, I had the SAME problem as you did when I first tried tampons. I seriously thought I had no hole.
I just had to give up and try another day, but you could also try using a hand mirror to locate it. Make sure you relax, or you won't be able to get it in at all. You might even have to poke around with your finger till you find it. I know that sounds pervy, but try it.

I have the same problem... it just feels weird to sit there and put it in... so it takes me like 4 or more in one hour.. At my school i got these really thin ones that you can put in. id get them at first and use them then go for the bulkeir ones. But when your at home by yourself wear pads and when your our with your friends where tampons.. do this for about 3 months soon you will get use to them and then it will become natural!
to the person that said theres only one whole theres actually two holes.. thers the butt whole and the vagina one. you put it up the vagina one..

First, try to relax. Insert tampom, with casing still on, about one third the length of tampon, then push the tampon up steadily until you feel comfortable; pull casing away.
Some women prefer plastic to the paper casings because they sometimes insert more freely.
