Ok, I feel very blessed that the Lord gave me a servants heart. I love doing things for others. However, one of my friends said that can be annoying at times, and I shouldn't just wait on ppl hand & foot. Is that annoying? It's not like I do everything for my friends and family. I just want to show them God's love, and that is one of the ways God put on my heart. Either way I have to do what God has me done (because I love Him) I just hate to think that some would see it as being annoying rather than a blessing.

Do unto others as you would want to be treated. Thats awesome that God gave you a servants heart and that you love doings things for other people. No it isn't annoying...maybe your friend is just jealous. Either way ignore them and keep on doing what God wants you to do.

I can follow your path of thought very well. I am also in line with this way of thinking and can honestly say, that I think it would be refreshing in a world where most are not.

If they find it annoying, it is probably because they are not familiar with this type of giving, and frightened that you will expect some sort of gratitude in return. I know this is not the case, and that you give freely of your heart, and that is the best way to do it. This is how I was treated at first by most, as this is what they told me they felt. As in this world they say there is always a price to pay, and I say the price is seeing them happy. That is my view on this way of giving.
You should feel free to remain as you are, and eventually they will appreciate it. If they do not find appreciation, then you should consider finding a new circle of friends.
I would adore a friend who is like myself, it would be a blessing. So just continue to be yourself, and proudly do what feels right within yourself, and you will find a remarkable peace in knowing that you are doing the right thing.
Blessings my brother

There is nothing wrong with that as long as you do it by obeying God.Personally I LOVE GIVING, its true "blessed is the hand that giveth than the one that receive."I recently gave someone my ipod, i loved it dearly but I decided to give my best since God did with His son. And a second after giving i received, i received joy that surpasses understanding. It can NEVER be a flaw, nothing good can be annoying especial if God is the influence. It only seems annoying because we are on earth and surrounded but a majority of negativity and sin.

You really are blessed. The gifts of service and hospitality are wonderful. But do be careful that you don't force your "help" on people who really don't want it. That's when it gets annoying. Also, be aware of people around you - sometimes they will feel guilty when you're up and "doing" while they just want to rest at the Lord's feet. There are times when you might need to be a Mary and not a Martha.

Every spiritual gift can be used in ways that drive people nuts. Mine is exhortation - and BOY if you want to see people get annoyed, that one is the one to use!

"What would Jesus do?"

No, really...think about it. YOU know you are doing the right thing. Helping people out, volunteering, being good and kind. You are right. THEY either just don't get it or they are jealous because you are just sooooo nice!

Don't worry about human opinions. (That's exactly what Satan would WANT you to do, isn't it?) Just worry about God's opinion, Jesus' opinion, and whether or not YOU are happy with yourself.

Good luck and take care and God Bless!!!

Jesus was hated for showing love.
Show the love of Jesus and pray.
