I echo other's sentiments here... I BOUGHT my first cell-phone at age 42, never bought a "game system", my first computer I bought when I was 23, my first TV when I was 17 (black and white), and stereo when I was 16.
My girls got Cell-phones on their 16th birthdays, but are required to pay their own bills

maybe some plain toys that don't need electric to play with, or maybe some book that could get him interest in something else beside the great world of game systems. Think out side of the box the T.V.box

maybe some games for his game system , maybe some clothes, some of the big name brand clothes are abercrombie but keep on the clearence section things get pricey in there.................. and maybe like a football or base ball what ever there in to
