i live in SA and im a die hard spurs fan, but now that its all said and done, its safe to admit that we played a bit on the dirty side agains the suns: with Horry's forearm to nash's face and how a few of THEIR players got suspended for it...

They didn't play dirty.

Horry gave Nash a hard foul. Nash fell down. The drama started.

Stoudemire and Diaw left the bench. Over 20 players in the last 10 years have been suspended for leaving the bench. It matters not the reason. It matters not the distance. They left the bench. They got suspended.

Even High School players know that if you can take out the opposites main player by any means and hopefully some of the opposition are foolish enough to retaliate, you do it. The Suns players are supposedly at the pinnacle of their careers yet they fell for the cheap shot and ran on the court. Every player is coached early, don't retaliate. The Spurs played hard defence. All players throw in a bit of filth. But no one was tunnelled, pushed into the stands or had their heads attacked (remember Laimbeer???)

Like the Suns are saints? Anyway, let's talk about the real issue...the suspensions. Every NBA player knows not to run out onto the court if an altercation arises. The way Diaw & Stoudemire ran off of the bench, you can tell they weren't getting ready to jump in and play some basketball, or to check on Nash or whatever lame excuse they gave. They wanted to kick some a-s-s. For that, they deserved what they got.

I thought Nash seriously flopped (the NBA should give a "Best Actor in a Flop" award to him). If it had been the other way around, I sincerely doubt Nash would have been suspended.

Let's drop this "the Spurs played dirty against the Suns" crap, already. Geez.

it's not the spurs fault that diaw and stoudemire ran onto the court.....hell...if i were the commisioner i'd think about suspending nash and bell in addition for going at horry....

and w/ that foul...it was a technical foul...but nash flopped like anderson varejao (i suddenly forgot how to spell his last name) anyway nash defied gravity to jump into the boards...and their flops made the spurs look like a dirtier team than they are...but BOTH teams were physical and played hard....

and after horry's foul...it's clear that horry was walking away when bell came right at horry (and horry put in his forearm)...you can even tell by listening to the announcers that nash and bell instigated the altercation....so the suns are lucky that bell and nash weren't suspended along w/ diaw and stoudemire.....

i won't give suns fans the benefit of the doubt because they are whining nonstop about this...i mean they couldn't win even when they had both guys...

there were no teams that could stop the spurs...period...we are the best team this year and nobody could stop us

Can't say that I'm a Spurs fan, but they didn't play "dirty." Horry's hipcheck to Nash was, but I'm not going to let that nutcase's actions speak for the entire team. It's not the Spurs fault that Stoudemire and Diaw were idiotically suspended for doing absolutely nothing.

If I would have had my way when that happened, I would have wanted to see Horry and Bell suspended. They were the only two who tried to pitch a fight and were deserving of suspension. That's the NBA for you though. Nonsensical and ill-conceived.

Why does it matter?

Its the NBA not a pickup basketball game at the YMCA. These players get paid millions, so they cant complain. Spurs didnt play dirty, they played hard. The suns are the ones who played dirty by saying the spurs played dirty. The spurs beat the suns and they won the championship. END OF STORY.

You should be ashamed calling yourself a Spurs Fan. The Suns are a bunch of cry babies who always have an excuse for losing.

Bottomline is that their players were suspended because of their boneheaded decision to leave the bench and their assistant coaches were not alert enough to keep their stupid players at bay.

FACT: The Suns lost and the Spurs are the Champs. Live with it.

Horry should have kicked Nash in the jewles.

If you are going to be labled as a dirty player by your OWN fans no less, get your money's worth.

So is it really a dry heat in AZ?

Spurs fan....right.

properly even yet it grew to become into an exceedingly undesirable project with Robert Horry and Steve Nash i does no longer call it grimy play i could call it a attempt to do actual harm or airplane n easy Robert Horry grew to become into attempting to harm Steve Nash, now even however what Horry did grew to become into incorrect Amare had no employer coming off the bench like that and attempting to make the region worse than it already is, i think of the refs did a foul job of no longer calling it a flagrant foul.

As if any of it really matters, both teams were playing dirty. People only noticed the Spurs was because Stoudemire opened his whiny mouth.
