A friend of mine and I have been doing some research on things we could do at home to make a little extra money. We've decided to go with scrapbooking. If you wanted your pictures arranged in a beautiful scrapbook but didn't have time to work on something like that yourself, what kind of products would you be interested in buying? Our ideas so far have been 1) to accept custom orders, where customers would send in 3-4 pictures with information for each 2 page spread, and my friend and I would arrange everything with backgrounds, mats, embellishments, journaling... 2) to create ready made scrapbook pages. The backgrounds, photo mats, and embellishments would be in place, and the customer would chose which layouts he/she wanted to purchase, then add their own pictures and journaling.
I am very interested to hear any opinions, ideas, or advice! Thanks in advance!

I think your ideas are great for the most part, you can add additional options and items too. Another thing you can sell are cards!! These are very popular right now, you can get awesome things at www.stampinup.com!! I make and sell all sorts of things too. Another thing is you can make custom tiles for coasters, just email me for all the ideas!! I can help you get cheap things for your business too.

I think you could make personal tags. There is a real need for great tags especially military ones now. This is something that you can package and sell. Here is a place where you can sell your scrapbook items for free. Here you can sell all handmade cards as well. Go small at first and then build up~!
The name of the site is rubber stamp auciton.

I think both would be great and not too difficult to do. If you wanted to save $ you should look into becoming a Creative Memories Consultant so that you could get any products you wanted at a discount. That way you wouldn't pay retail for them.

Oh, you should definitely offer both. Don't turn down any business!
