My brother left home 3 weeks ago because my step father has been hitting him. He is 15 years old and does not have a job. He told my mom he will come back if our step father leaves. Mom says she will try to fix the problem if he returns. I am scared for him. He does not have a job and we live in another state away from our real family. What can I do. I'm the youngest child.

You can't do anything and it shouldn't be your job to worry about these things. Your Mom needs to tell this man to stop abusing her son and if she can't do that she doesn't deserve him back. Is he safe where he is staying now? If not call some family and talk to them.

You should tell you teacher, your school counselor, or go to the police and tell them. Let them know what your step-father has done. Has he hit you, too? Tell them. Your mother may not be able to stop him, but you and your brother can have a better life away from that. It's scary, but you can do it!

Tell him to go to the police and report the incident. Then it is on record and they have to investigate the guy. Then, Child Services may come in to protect him as he is a minor by placing him in a foster home temporarily. Of course, your mother may not like that.

Have your mom talk to your step father. Dont worry God will take care of your brother and you will see him soon.
