I honestly wouldn't suggest jeans. However, if you're opposed to the suit, maybe you could consider kacki or tan pants with a decent (polo, maybe?) shirt. Jeans look unkept, but casual colored pants might look ok and be more well suited for what might be a long ceremony!
And congradulations on graduating!

Jeans are inappropriate for graduation, no matter how nice they are. You should wear a pair of dress pants (preferably black), a white button-down shirt, and a tie. If that is too uncomfortable for you, wear some kind of dark slacks.

No because you are going to get hot and want to take off your gown and people are gonna see that you wore jeans which is not pretty good for an dressy occassion! Someone may want to take pictures with you! Its only for one day please wear a suit!

No, you should definintely wear black pants or khakis. You can even do a short-sleeved button down shirt with a tie instead of a long-sleeved. But you should not wear jeans under your gown.

Under your gown? Yeah. Go naked if you want. Unless people have X-Ray vision :) As long as the jeans don't show, it's all good.

My school had a dress code of nice slacks and a nice button up or collared shirt. I think that would look best since it is a big accomplishment in your life.
