I got my navel pierced yesterday. They suscribed " dragon mist" which is a really good cleaning product for it and it works great. My belly button stings though, when the ring is moved. i know i am probabaly over-reacting. this is normal for the first few days/weeks, right?

I got mine pierced in 1991, and it was a bit funky for a few MONTHS! Your body wants to reject it, because it isn't supposed to be there.......it will hurt until it is all healed, which could be a few weeks. It's like this...your body heals around the ring, then u move it, and basically rip it from the ring, when it's in the next position, it starts to heal, and you rip it again. Usually the stuff the tell you to put on is an antiseptic as well as an anesthetic, so it has a numbing effect, which should help...as i hope this did! :)

Since you just got the piercing they say not to remove the ring at all. You should keep it in there and keep it clean. If you remove it gets clogged up easily with bacteria and yellow puss possibly. But don't freak out just always keep a ring in and clean it.
When i got mine i used nonscented Dial liquid soap and water. It works too if you run out of the other stuff.

Yes this is normal. Similar to rubbing alcohol on any piercing for the first while. I do hope you got the piercing with a needle and not the gun because if you got the pierce with the gun your whole will push itself out eventually. The needle is to only proper way to get a pierce on skin that's not either on your ear or the nose.

Yes, normal. I suggest regular soaking with warm sea salt water. You will heal twice as fast. Don't touch it. Just keep it clean with dial antibacterial soap.

It may be bothersome at first just make sure you are careful and keep your eye on it. I got mine pierced 8 years ago and forget I have it now.
