How about a flyer that looks like a 33 or 45 rpm record. You can attach pictures cut from paper to it. And print an invitation on it also. You can print pictures from the internet, magazines, even photo copies of personal pictures from that era. The brighter the colors, the better. Don't forget leather sandals, beads and peace signs were popular then also.
