specifically a white 99 328i...I dont like how the moldings are black and would like to cover them, but need to remove first. any thoughts?

They are held on by plastic clips (which break easily). These clips also require a rubber sheath in order to protect the painted holes (which the clips pop into) on the car body panel.

So make sure you get some spare clips and rubber sheath before you attempt to pull the moldings out. They are cheap parts even from the dealer.

Yes they just pull off but they are designed for that car if you need white go by the dealer and pick some up before you remove them ,hope this helps

Yes they do come off. they are clipped on so just unclip them get them sprayed and re clip them but be careful not to break the clips or you going to have to buy new clips

they are held in with clips. just pull them off. a body shop can paint them for you. or you can buy primered ones at dealer.

They are held with thin double-sided sticky tape.
