Most people won't put the effort into being friendly towards you if they do not feel that you are "one of them." Because people look for others like them, they automatically ignore or intentionally try to shove away the people that they perceive to be "the Other" to simplify our interactions with others. It is an attempt to save time and effort by compartmentalizing everything in this world... even the people we meet... to meet our exact specifications. It sucks that we cannot be open and just take that time to learn about someone else, even if they don't become our new friend because of the differences... I still think it would be worth it to try.

Because most people are suspecious of stangers. But dont take it personal, they most likely act towards everyone the same way that they acted towards you. Dont let this stop you from trying to make friends or from being friendly or helpful toward others. Most people are willing to get to know you, especially if you are courteous and kind and wear a smile on your face.

Sometimes when people meet you they are having a bad day and aren't feeling friendly. You think it's you, but it's them and their thoughts and feelings.
On the other hand, if a person sees you around and you get the idea they don't like you, it's either because they just don't get your vibe/energy/style or they think the way you talk or act is obnoxious.

It sounds like you are talking about some very shallow people who have made a snap judgement about you for some reason. Just stay away from those people if possible. You certainly don't need people like that as friends.

They are too judgemental and find something wrong with EVERYONE on the outside before they get to know them on the inside because they are insecure.

If they haven't taken the chance to get to know you and judge anyway...they are shallow and not worth knowing as a friend anyway.

You give off a vibe. People respond. And then some are just jerks.
