i have a lg vx8600 (flip phone) and a lg vx900 (enV qwerty). I got the enV as a gift. But i also love my flip phone. i was wondering if its okay to switch between the phones every once in a while. I activate my phones through the internet and just needed to know whether it was okay to do this. And when i say every so often i mean like every 2-3 weeks. I'm a nerd for gadgets and i like switching it up once in a while. Sometimes i'm in the mood for a flip phone, sometimes i just need a qwerty board. haha. yea, this may seem weird but whatever. So yea, please let me know!

ok man, switching phones aren't that difficult to do. I just go online sign in my account, go to activate phone, type in the ESN number its been switched. I by new phones all the time to try out and i use the internet to activate them. I just wanted to know if verizon allows us to go back and forth every so often.

First of all I see a problem with switching phones on Verizon network. Verizon wireless uses CDMA technology network and so each cell phone has a ESN number on the back of the phone that is registered to its network. So for you to switch back and forth you would have to call customer care and deactivate that phone and its ESN number and tell them you have another phone you would like to switch too. That would be too much of a hassle every 2 to 3 weeks. This would be okay if you lost your phone and would like to register another phone on your account.

The best way for you to switch from phone to phone would be using a GSM network. This would be with Cingular (A T&T, T-Mobile, and Nextel). GSM uses sim card on all their phones and so if you have one phone with a sim card on the back of it and you wanted to use another phone on their network then all you have to do is to put that sim card on another phone without needing to contact the cell phone company.
