Pro Wrestling has a 'pre-determined' outcome. That is NOT sports. Great athletes, BUT NOT SPORTS. It should be listed as entertainment. Of course much of Don King's boxing is pretty 'pre-determined' too but that's a story for another day. Please WWE fans, don't bomb this question, let others decide.

I would be more inclined to put it in the comedy section.

Hard to say. I mean, the entertainment industry has people who read scripts and do what they're told. Same as WWE. However, actors and other entertainers will almost always remove themselves from harms way, and I doubt that any of them can lift other 300 lbs men over their heads. So all in all, no. Only because being an athlete in order to be a pro-wrestler, by definition, is a an athlete.

That would make sense. It would also take the stigma off perfectly valid sports like college wrestling by admitting up front that it has more to do with a stage play then as a sport.

sports are physical things that are played individually or as a team.......wrestling is a physical thing.....it may be scripted but it's still hurts.......no matter what you say, if a 400 lb man comes and jumps on you, it's gonna hurt........and so you know, if there was just a wrestling section that wasn't allowed to have any pro-wresting questions than there would be like two questions.......let it go, it's entertainment, but it's physically demanding....just like sports

Well I think that Vince M. coined a great name for what his organization does, he calls it "sports entertainment" this term kinda puts what you said into one great bundle. True these guys are great athletes, they train hard and they preform hard and they do get injured while doing their job, but the outcome is predetermined.

No. Even though pro wrestling is pre-determined, amateur wrestling is not. And it is considered a sport.
