Now I was reading an article about his herniated disc and decided to look at his stats this season. Low and behold I see this "15-day DL as of Jun 15, 2007 (Tightness in glute)"

Then I checked News & Notes and got this: "Johnson was placed on the DL on Friday because of muscle tightness in his buttocks."

So is it really that tough to pitch with a ss tightness? This is the first time I have ever seen a guy go on the DL for this type of thing. If you have pitched before let me know something because I really want to know if this is just one of those made up things to put a guy on the DL to get some rest.

I am a diamondbacks fan and yeah I do think they made up that diagnosis to get him some rest. They are being really careful with Randy because when he is healthy (see last two or three starts) he is his dominating self.

First player in history ever to be placed on the DL for OFFICIALLY being a tightass.
