Bloomberg will hurt the Dems, not the Republicans. If he runs he will probably put New York, possibly California, in play for the Republicans in the electoral college.

Not many even know who Bloomberg is. He is largely undistinguished for his accomplishments as NYC's mayor. If he runs, he will take no more than 2% of the vote.

Those that do know who Bloomberg is know he is a Republican in name only.

If Bloomberg decides to run as an independent, he will pick Hagel as his running mate. This will take votes away from the Republican Party, and voila, we'll have a Democratic president.

Bloomberg's not running and I highly doubt he will enter this late in the game. He doesn't have enough political clout. I think America can only deal with one NY Republican ex-mayor at a time.

Her Thighness is going to be the next President, no matter who runs agaisnt her. It's just the way it is. I don't want it, but I've accepted it. Bloomberg is irrelevant.

Well, he's an independent now. I'm sure the GOP will be more intimidated by this move and what it will do to their party.
