i know this will cause some arguments. what do you guys think of them. i personally love them.

i cant choice one of there songs cuz they all are hella (sic).

none of there songs are about the same topics (maybe vermillion and vermillion part 2 but thats different)

GODDAMN MASKS ARE NOT THE ******* SAME AND THE IDEA OF WEARING MASKS HAS BEEN AROUND FOR A LONG ******* TIME BEFORE SLIPKNOT AND MUSHROOMHEAD! LIKE GWAR AND ****! THEY WORE FULL ****** COSTUMES AND NO1'S CALLIN THEM POSERS! THERE'S MORE THEN 1 BAND WHO CAN WEAR MASKS AND NOT MEAN THAT THERE POSERS!

They were my first. I mean, my very /first/ in the rock genre, and they were what made me love music. (My love has faded some now, I think they're raucous and a bit juvenile, but they'll always be special.)

I remember I really enjoyed the community feeling. Being a maggot was like being in a big, crazy, fuxxed up family!

I still enjoy the masks. It's like Halloween is every day! I also have to thank them, for it was only through drummer Joey Jordison that I found the Murderdolls (whom I still love today), and through the Murderdolls, Wednesday 13, and through him... well, I never knew who Vincent Price was before Weddys sung it to me!

I agree with you guys, they've really mellowed out. Some of their new album is great! But has anyone heard Corey Taylor's new stuff with Stone Sour? I mean... pussssssy. What's that song, "Through the Glass". Oh, man, I've heard harder pop songs.

Slipknot was awesome their first few albums...Then Cory Taylor went to Stone Sour and it seems as if Slipknot mellowed out too..I wish they would bring back the heavy music.

well, i dont care for them. i think w/ 9 members, ther is still no talent. some of the members are just plain usless. i dont really care for their music, i dont think there is any originality to it. every song sounds the same, and all the songs are about the same topics. i dont like them cuz of those reasons, not because of their feud w/ my favorite band Mushroomhead, who was first by the way for those of you on here that may think that slipknot came first. but that shouldnt matter, what matters is good music, and that is something slipknot lacks.

Mushroomhead mixes it up. their styles are metal/rap/rock/techno/death metal, etc. alot of those are put into one whole song, crating a unique sound thats amazing.

w/ all that said, i respect maggots, as long as they repect the Filthy Hands Co.

my husband loves them. hes even got a slipknot belt buckle...its kinda crazy. I think they are pretty good. I'm not a huge fan, but I dont mind when he plays their cd's

I like 2 of their songs...Duality and Wait and Bleed...as for the band, I don't care for them. They are f'n creepy. The masks thing is too extreme.

i like their music but i have been kinda scared of the lead singer since i found out he was lead singer for stone sour.
