No they're not
Their pitching is a tad bit shaky
Schilling and his bad shoulder looks like its headin for the dl...it will prolly nag him for the rest of the year especially in the playoffs
Beckett has not put together two consecutive mind blowing seasons so he's due for an injury
Papelbon has looked human
Its only a matter of time before hitters figure our okajima liek they did to matsuzaka (what a huge waste...hes winning only because of offense behind him)
Manny isn't hitting the ball well...lugo and jd drew have been useless especially on the field
Coco crisp..well he's a dud
Youkilis will come down to earth soon.
This team just has way too many "ifs" and it won't be able to contend with speedy quick, smart and calculating teams liek the angels and tigers who are really really deep and playing red hot baseball right now

Consensus is that the Yanks have righted the ship and will play decent the rest of the way. As more games go by and they remain 9 games back, the chance of them catchimg our Sox diminishes. Pluse the 2 teams do not sqaure off til August

I don't really think that the Red Sox are going to win the World Series. I really think that it is still wide open.

the yankees bullpen and pitching staff is just getting started.. theres a lot more to see from them. and the yankees are just awesome in general. so i suppose the yankees will gain division and red sox would have to go for wildcard. sorry to break it to u

NO!!!!!!!!!! they're slipping on schillings shoulder injury.....your team is going to hit a slump and the yanks will take over and be #1 again!! we WILL win the division, and the world series...and schillings 'bloody sock' can't stop us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ahhhh! ok i lived for 10 years in boston...grew up there...and i know that they are so gonna win!!! and plus every kid that grew up in boston knows one thing- the yankees must suffer. and if i have learned anything since they won the world series and compleatly humuliated the yankees its this- BELIEVE!!!!

I don't think they'll win it all but I do think they could make the world series.
