I went through Fran (NC) but I was at work and couldn't watch the weather. I was too busy arguing with the manager that was in charge of letting us close. He was from Indiana and just laughed because the eye of the storm was "only" 50 miles miles away, and said we could stay at work until the eye got to us. We had no power for a week and LOTS of damage.
