Firstly they are all malware.

Time bombs are scripts that will lay dormant until a predetermined date/time is reached and tehn activate (you may remember the Y2K virus that was set to go at 00:00 01.01.2000 the idea is that teh virus is spread well in advance and then comes to life at the same time in thousands of machines.

Worms are viral scripts that use transport systems to relay themselves to other machines (such as by installed email software and address books) by host PC installed software and processes, they also replicate themselves so can quickly infect many PC's.

Trojan horses attach to a port on your computer allowing remote access to your PC, so although it doesn't itself damage the PC it undermines its security by allowing an open portal for malicious software to be installed on your PC or for remote access of you PC and access to your stored private information,.

That's about it really.

cheers

A Trojan horse program is malevolent software which is masquerading as something else. The user typically tricked into opening and executing the software. Download this really cool game, which turns out to be a Trojan an installs a key logger instead for example...

Worms are software which is designed to do damage or at least wreak havoc. A Worm acts like the real life counterpart in that it moves. Rather than crawling along the ground it moves across memory or data (hard drive) . As it moves it may grow in size. In any case as the worm moves through the memory/data it destroys the informatin by over writting or scrambling the data. It will continue to do this until it writes over some code critical to the computer operation like OS files etc...

A timebomb is code which will activate when a specific event ocurrs. It can be burried into a piece of otherwise useful software. Then on a particular day and time for example it executes.
