Do you think that the WC in 2010 will be won by a team that has already won, or do you think it'll be a new winner?
Be honest. Or do you think it'll be a repeat & Italy will take it again?

I agree, every team is becoming better, honestly.. it's scary how much talent there is. Mexico has an amazing youth squad, but so does Portugal, Spain, Brazil, Argentina...etc. It's gonna be tough.
I think the next WC is gonna be the best... I think it was for the 2010 one they said that it had the most countries EVER to enter qualifications. That is chilling and amazing all at the same time.
I can't wait to go.

Good answer Valencianista haha :) Not just cause of me, right? :D Good!
Kasper - YAY :D
Aardvark - That is true, but I think there are many more teams that pose a threat then the typical ones and Portugal :)

Rafa, why does it always have to be your team beating my team in the final? Lol.
I wouldn't mind Mexico winning if Borgetti stayed on:) But isn't he finishing after the Gold Cup? I'll miss him :(

:( Rafa. I think I'll tear up seeing him leave. He's actually my favourite Mexican player, ever.
I teared up after hearing about Sanchez too... in the WC. About what happened with his dad, I remember that game... I was actually tearing up. I love him too.

The great thing about it NOT being in Europe is that history has shown that these World Cups tend to be the most unpredictable and thus the most exciting. If I had to bet, I would bet on Brazil(considering location/this last World Cup). And Brazil always produces loads of quality footballers. The World Cup has been dominated by Brazil, Argentina, Italy, Germany (Uruguay in the past). Although there are plenty of quality teams, they seem to come up short somehow. Since this World Cup is tentatively in Africa, and if the World Cup takes place in Africa, I think Cameroon (with Eto'o maturing and getting even better), Nigeria, Ivory Coast and Ghana to be teams in Africa to watch for. I think an African country will go far ( at least the quarterfinals/semifinals). I do NOT think a European country will win it.
1. Brazil
2. Nigeria/Cameroon
3. Portugal
4. Argentina
*write that down and store somewhere safe until July 2010.

Italy stole the WC last year, they won't repeat... Portugal wud be a good choice but after winning Euro 2008, they will lose Scolari (more later)... Spain, can't win the big match... England with spotlight on Becks & losing yet again on penalty kicks... Argentina, always tough always a favorite...
South Africa will make some noise as the host... Is it the year finally for an Aficxan country to win the WC... NOPE not yet...
the winner and for the 6th time in WC history, with Scolari at the helm for the 2nd time... B R A S I L !!!!!!

the Fifa never allow one team to win the cup 2 times consecutive b4 yes was no politic and Italy participate in 1934 1938 and wan both did not participate in 194I believe because the war but now is all politic and money a world cup can worth 1/2 billion $ and every country like to have but when one country like Brazil or France they live half to the fifa and pay the players just a few box so they win Italy do not give any money to no one the players are very well paid some money going back for the young generation and some to the government. I hope Germany will win next that's the only team whom do not like to cheat well with Italy I do not know with the other country.

It will be a new winner, La Selecion Mexicana will show who's boss. Mexico 3-2 Spain in the final. Go Mexico!!! We will have the best squad we have ever had! Rafa Marquez, Ricardo Osorio, and Carlos Salcido the veteran defenders. Omar Esparza, Pato Arjaujo, and Efrain Valdez, the new very talented young defenders. Giovanni and Jonathan Dos Santos the football prodigies, Carlos Vela, Nery Castillo, Cesar Villaluz, Luis Angel Landin, the talented young forwards, Andres Guardado (El Chico Maravilloso), and Memo Ochoa, the up coming world goalie. Don't forget about Andoni Cabrero, the next Maradona, you'll see him in the 2014 WC, maybe even in the 2010, but who knows he'll only be 17 or so by 2010. Viva Mexico.

The answer to this one is very simple: Mexico. Mexico has AMAZING talent. With a lineup of Carlos Vela, Gio dos Santos, Andres Guardado, Guillermo Ochoa and veteran Rafael Marquez? No one else(besides some young spainish players) has future talent like this and we will be helped even more by Vela's soon-to-be Arsenal experience, dos Santos and Marquez Barcelona experience, and if Guardado was good enough to be offered a deal with Spanish Champs Real Madrid, anything is possible. P.S. Memo Ochoa dominates in goal and does very well against good teams. oh and @ adam c, I was laughing so hard when u actually said the US was gonna win......oh geez..... Win a youth world cup then say somethin ok?

I'd say it will be a previous winner.
You always, always have to put money on:
Brazil, Germany, Italy, Argentina, France or England winning the WC.
What other team is there that really poses a huge threat other than maybe Portugal?
I'd like to see England win it personally. I think they always have the ability, but something always happens and they screw it up. That's Football for you though.

I think Italy is getting too old to repeat. Every body's favorite is always Brazil because of all the talent but I would put my money on England. England has some good young talent and can build off of the last WC.

Mmh, nah, I don't think it'll be the same winner, but i don't believe Italy will give up without a fight.
So they'll make it very far. I think It'll be a new winner. maybe Portugal? or not...It could also be Spain, maybe we'll see a Italy-Portugal final...that'd be nice wouldn't it? :)
England has a good chance too, with Lennon, Walcott, Lita and co.

Germany looks good at the moment and they seem to have a lot of young players in the first team and the second stringers. If I were a betting person (and I'm not) I'd put my money on Germany in 2010.
