Why can't you just let them think for them self's and accept your different.

It happens when you don't begin with a declaration.
Well considered questions work.
Loaded questions don't.
Begin with a description of the problem that would occur if you're not able to influence ppl.
Encourage reactions.
Offer what you have to say as part of the discussion.
Don't try to nail them down to your perspective.
The most you can usually expect is for them to consider your perspective.
This is not a zero-sum game. You can not influence people instantly. All you can do is to suggest other perspectives.
Don't expect instand results.

Stop worrying about people agreeing with you. If you have to influence them then present the logical truth to the best of your ability and then leave it alone. It is the best any of us can do. Be careful not to talk down to them and not criticize. That is the fastest way to close someone's mind.

back it up with facts then u cant go wrong cuz ur right or just do the right thing and then ur not wrong and ppl will agree

touching a person in a humanly way like touching someone hand/wrist or arm when they talk. that helps them agree with you and defuse them if they are angry
