The where is not important in a journey. neither is the why. It is enjoying the journey that is important not where you are going or why or how. Life is a trip you don't know why you do it or exactly sure where you will end up. You just try and enjoy the ride and be happy wherever life takes you.
That is some straight up philosophical stuff.

Absolutely nowhere.
I'm not even up in the world of politics, but I think troops dying for no reason is stupid.
So we are getting nowhere, which answers your question in a sense.
