they are all criminal scum and they disgust me, I wish to disassociate myself with the whole damn lot of them on a permanent basis as I am ashamed to be a part of their family and want no legal ties with any of them what so ever as honesty is seriously lacking in the family unit.
can this be done under british law?
I also feel I need a therapist in order to deal with the long term emotional torment as I cannot talk to any of my so called family about the disfunction without being screamed at and being told that I am mental by a savage animal. can I sue for damages?

u cant sue just because u have a messed up family, if u could we would all be rich.i dont know if u can divorce them, but if ur 18+ u dont have to see or speak to them again, and its easier to change your last name legally than it is to divorce them...and alot cheaper..u should talk with a therapist..try searching for one in your area, sometimes they have free group therapy at churches, youth centers and schools.

As they say, you can't choose your relatives and there is no legal process to go through to remove yourself from your family. Changing your name and moving away would be a good move, and I would also make sure I had made a Will so that none of them benefitted from my estate. Even if you have nothing to leave them now, you may do in the future, so its a good insurance policy.

You can't divorce them (only the person you are married to can be divorced from you). you probably can't sue either. Just disown the lot, move far away, and have nothing to do with them. Talk to your soliciter about any legal ties you want to get rid of (unfortunatley your parents are still legally your parents and so on).
