I just did a complete system restore on my desktop but now my speakers aren't working. I just plugged in headphones and they work fine. So is it the speakers? Even though they were working like an hour ago? And no,they are not muted and are plugged in. Im not a complete idiot! lol Any info is appreciated! Thanks! :o)

Make sure ALL the volumes are turned up.

Click-
START> All Programs> Accessories> Entertainment> Volume Controls

Be sure only the microphone input is muted or you may get feedback.

If your speakers don't work but your headphones do, the speakers might have died. Try pluging your speakers to some other device like an mp3 or walkman that has a similar audio jack. If the speakers work in other devices but not with the computer, try reinstalling the sound and audio drivers, but also check out all the volume level configs in the operating system. Good luck.
