We actually had sun, then a storm, then sun again and it managed to get to 95 degrees here in Houston!

Yes as a matter of fact it is. We got some strong winds and rain with thunder and lightening. The wind scared me there for a bit and I hate lightening. It's still storming some but not nearly as bad.
I live in West Virginia.

We were. I'm in Toronto, where are you? It's long gone now and the ground has completely sucked up what little water it could. You'd never know it was storming here now, only an hour or so later.
