I read My Side of the Mountain when I was a kid. I'm not looking for kid's books (not that light), but lighter adult books. I should have been more descriptive.

In memory and in honor of Anne Frank, go out for a walk in the fresh air and enjoy life.

You can find another book tomorrow.

Books by Christopher Moore, such as "A Dirty Job". It has dark humor and I consider it lighter than Anne Frank's Diary.

You may also want to try "Olivia Joules and the Overactive Imagination" by Helen Fielding. I laughed out loud with this book.

"Call Me Coward" by Eugen Dollman. The only truly hilarious autobiography by an SS guy. Just the antidote to down-in-the-dumps Anne Diary.

Hunter S. Thompson's "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas"
or anything by Thompson.
Or you could try P.J. O'Rourke's books.

Thompson use to write for Rolling Stone, and O'Rourke used to write for National Lampoon.
