If your streaming the files from the internet, then your connection speed could cause that. You can go into the settings and tell it to gather all the information it needs before streaming and that should get rid of any delay.

If your just playing a file off of your computer, then it might be a really full or fragmented hard disk. Try defraging it. A defrag will piece files back together, cause as y our delete stuff on your computer, it leaves gap in data and your OS wants to save stuff as early far in as possible

Kind of like this -

oo-ooo----ooo--ooooo----

If the "o"'s are filled data and the "-"'s are empty space, the computer will want to save information as close to the beginning as possible. And when it runs out of room as far to the beginning when saving a file, it will start to split the files (not noticeable to you unless you experience slow computer reaction times), and save the rest of the file late on. So a defrag would make your computer HDD like this

00000000---------

Much nicer, right?

Hope this helps.

Your computer may not have the ram needed to download the music fast enough.

It could be because of the server or something like that. Also, it might depend on your connection speed.
