Most agents are based in Los Angeles or New York, since that is where all of the work is. You need to find a SAG (Screen Actor's Guild) affiliated agency, which you can see a complete list at SAG's website. There are few ways to get an agent. You either send them your headshot and resume, they see you in a performance and offer you a contract or you audition for them if you have a referral. I'm from Michigan (westland), too. There's not much you can do from there. You either have to move to LA like I did, or you just find acting things to do there so you can build up your resume, like school plays, community theater, local tv commercials.
Good Luck.

At age 14 you cannot get a Talent Agent because you are underage and cannot legally sign a contract with a Talent Agency. I recommend that you spend the summer in acting classes.
You don't have enough enough experience for an agent to be interested in you. Study for a few more years.
Agents are in Los Angeles and New York City.

Get some training and experience behind you. By that I mean go read some books and plays, join a community theater and just get some personal experience with acting, I'm not talking about anything you could really put on a resume. Then worry about an agent. If you really want to go ahead and try get a copy of the Ross Reports, it's a complete listing of all legit agents accepting mail-ins right now.
