Just what exactly does this mean to have closure?
Does this mean they wan't to get the last word on something and want a man to keep his mouth shut?

No. In my opinion there is a beginning a middle and ending to all things. Closure simply means that she is saying goodbye to the other party. Its a way to say and feel that its over for whatever reason. Some of us have been left hanging with nothing as much as a word to say "the end" or have a nice life or simply nothing. In my experiences I can deal with the end of a relationship with some sort of closure other than to be left hanging with small threads of what if or wonder why or wonder if senerios. Thats my meaning. Good luck.
Let me ask you this. If you were dating a nice woman and as far as you knew everything was all ok. Then all of a sudden you didnt receive any phone calls, no dates, no word from her at all. Would you not wonder what happened? Would you have rather her just come up front and say, this is not working, I dont want to see you anymore. I know that hurts, but not at much as just being left wondering. Make sense?

One of marriage's many rules: Women have the last word in every argument. Anything the man says after that is the start of another argument.
