Usually they have a friend to help them. There are even volunteer organizations that recruit shopping assistants. At home, they often use various tags that attach to clothing items that they can use to identify items by touch.
makeup is trickier--I do know sme usually use just light-simplemakeup because of the need to apply it.

I know I have someone with me. When we hang our clothes in the closet, we put them together by color, and or outfit. The make up one is tough, I dont wear make up and I couldnt imagine trying to put it on.

They would ask a friend to come with them.
Each would have thier own way of telling colour for labouring or putting all the same in one place.
